Beautiful Waterfalls & A Magical Photographer In Kanto Lampo, Ubud, Bali

On my last trip to Bali, I wanted to visit Ubud as I hadn’t been before and had heard wonderful things. While we were in there we hired a private driver to take us around to explore the area. One of the key stops we requested was a beautiful waterfall and the guides decided Kanto Lampo would be best.

As we arrived at the decent to the waterfalls, trekking down a path on the rocks to the canyon, an Indonesian guy started to help us down the stairs. He told us he would help us down and take great pictures of us – an offer we obviously couldn’t refuse. Need to get those Instagram shots, right?!

Turns out this guy was an absolute master at taking photos at the waterfall with long exposure. He put us in all the right spots and even directed us on how to pose! We would have to wait for ten seconds while he got the shot then he would be moving us into the next pose.

As well, he made it look like there was nobody else there when in fact, it was mayhem!! There were people everywhere and more insta-husbands in one place than I’ve ever seen before. I took a couple of behind the scenes pics too so you can get an idea of what it looked like.

It cost us IDR10,000, that’s $10aud well spent! Highly recommend his help, even if you don’t want the photos – he knows where to stand to miss the deep spots, holds all your stuff and shows you where to go for the best of your own photos.
