Settimo Brisbane

For a leisurely lunch, we headed to Settimo Brisbane, Guy Grossi’s stunning Italian restaurant located on Mary Street in the city. As the only restaurant connected to the Westin Brisbane (part of the Marriott group), Settimo brings the charm of the Amalfi Coast to Brisbane’s CBD. With its Amalfi Pronto Lunch Menu priced at just $45 per person, it’s great value for delicious Italian cuisine served in a beautiful hotel restaurant.

Location: Settimo is nestled at 111 Mary Street, Brisbane City, inside the luxurious Westin Brisbane hotel. Its central location and bright, airy ambience make it an ideal spot for a relaxed lunch or business meeting with a touch of Italian flair.

What We Ordered:
We enjoyed the Amalfi Pronto Lunch Menu, which included…

  • Pane & Olio: Sourdough & Grossi EVOO
  • Antipasto
    • Caprese: Mozzarella Di Buffalo Casa Motta, Ox Heart Tomato
    • Pizza Fritta: Provolone, Spinach, Tomatoes
  • Secondo:
Spaghetti alla Nerano: Zucchini, Garlic, Provolone, Butter, Basil
  • Sides:
    • Green Beans, Burrata
    • Patate Arrosto: Garlic, Rosemary
  • Dolci:
    Biscotti del Giorno

The Details: The lunch menu was generous, perfect for sampling a slice of Amalfi. We started with Pane & Olio, sourdough bread paired with Grossi’s own EVOO – simple yet as always with bread, delightful.

The Caprese was an absolute standout. The juicy and fresh heirloom tomatoes, especially the green ones, were absolutely divine, paired with creamy buffalo mozzarella for a perfectly balanced dish I could have devoured all on my own. The Pizza Fritta was not something I’d usually order, but it surprised me with its light, crispy base and rich provolone flavour.

The Spaghetti alla Nerano stole the show. The buttery zucchini, garlic, and provolone blended beautifully in this dish, which always reminds me of Stanley Tucci’s “Searching for Italy.” Generous and flavorful, it was Amalfi on a plate.

For sides, we had Green Beans with Burrata, which were fresh and crisp, perfectly paired with creamy burrata, and Patate Arrosto – golden potatoes with garlic and rosemary.

To finish, we enjoyed the Biscotti del Giorno. The sour cherry biscotti was my favourite – sweet, tangy, and a great ending to the meal.

We paired everything with refreshing Settimo Spritz Cocktails – a little taste of summer in every sip.

Vibe Check: Settimo’s airy, vibrant setting overlooks Brisbane’s cityscape, creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. It is ideal for long lunches, or corporate gatherings.

The Service: The staff at Settimo were warm, attentive, and professional. The restaurant exudes an easy-going yet polished vibe, ensuring a seamless meal from start to finish.

Why I’d Return: With its fantastic value lunch menu, stunning setting, and authentic Italian flavours, Settimo is a dining experience worth repeating. Next time, I’d love to see paired cocktails or wine as an option with the lunch menu.

Final Thoughts: The fresh, vibrant flavours of the Caprese to the indulgent Spaghetti alla Nerano, Settimo will have you wanting to return.

Buon appetito!
