An enchanted evening – Diner en Blanc

Diner en Blanc Vancouver was an INCREDIBLE evening.

For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, Diner en Blanc originated from Paris and is a secret white party.

Guests are asked to dress in white, being white tables, chairs and picnics. There are options for dinner to be provided and tables to be setup.

There is a secret location that nobody finds out until they arrive at the destination. 6 tour leaders are picked to meet guests at different points in the city and they are told where the location is about half an hour before they are due there. Guests travel by public transport and then descend as a sea of white on the park. One group even arrived by ferry!

Lucky for me the company I work for were looking after the PR for the event so I was aware of the location well before and all the exciting details.

This year for Vancouver, there were 12,500 people on the wait list for tickets and only 2,500 tickets available!

Live music all evening and flowing drinks, it’s spectacular to watch.

I love events like this!

Anyway, once again, pics says more than I do.

I was too intoxicated to take any decent photos at the after party, but it was inside Science World in the interactive area – awesome. What I remember anyway!
