Luke’s smokin’ visit

How good is it to have visitors?!

I was lucky to have my little (not so little, he’s nearly 22) brother, Luke, over to visit from NZ on his way to Europe recently.

Why was it a smokin’ visit? Well, it was at least 30 degrees every day – poor guy arrived in the midst of a Brisbane heat wave! And he still managed to walk 20+ kms on a few of the days.

We spent heaps of time just hanging out, exploring the city and surrounds and shopping and eating. Friends joined us for meals and adventures most evenings like a picnic in the park, the movies and Holey Moley Golf. We ate too much at EAT street market where Luke tried the infamous Morton Bay Bugs. We hit the town a few times too for a boogie and the ham party was right in the middle of it all as well.

He’s now in Europe and I have crazy FOMO of all his wicked adventures. Oh to be eating Nutella filled crepes under the Eiffel Tower right now.

I forget how nice it is to have a visitor from home over, it was such fun to show him around the city I live in, play tourist and just chill out together.

Can’t wait for the next visitor! **Hint, wink NZ / interstate / overseas friends & family*
