Where You Need To Eat Breakfast in Kauai – Java Kai

Cute striped umbrellas and a glowing turquoise wall charms you inside Java Kai in Kapaa, on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai.

While I love Hawaiian food, I’m always keen to shake things up and have something fresh for breakfast and Java Kai does just that.

Their menu is a delicious, fresh surprise. Many of their meals feature bagels with various fresh toppings.

I went for the Sunrise Breakie – a half papaya emptied out and filled with granola, fresh fruits and yoghurt. Mmmm. And then, wait for it, a bagel with CINNAMON BUTTER and bacon.

Cinnamon butter. Seriously. Who even thinks of that. I smashed half my bagel (you have a choice at the counter of flavours) smothered in the delicious nectar that is cinnamon butter with a little bacon. Then for my fresh and healthy hit, the beautiful and sweet pittaya. Perfect combo!

I tried the tea of the day, a white lavender ice tea. A very different blend, tasty and refreshing.

They have a bunch of cool merchandise too, highly recommend checking them out!
