So I went to check out the new Little Red Dumpling in Cannon Hill – I’m a big fan of the West End one already. It’s probably my favourite place for dumplings in Brisbane.
The differences between Cannon Hill and West End? The new one has much more attentive service and a lovely outdoor area. But watch out for the bugs at night!
I always eat the same thing at Little Red Dumpling. Well nine times out of 10 anyway…
- Xiao long bao
- Pork and chive dumplings (pan friend or boiled)
- Steamed vegetables
- Mince chicken dry noodle
- Spicy wontons (pork or chicken & prawn)
The XLB are always good, the dumplings juicy. The steamed vegetables make you feel a bit healthier and have delish garlic seasoning. The mince chicken dry noodles simply means it’s not a soup dish and is quite spicy. I add a little black vinegar. And the wontons are lovely and garlicky
Be warned, you will have bad breath. But there are only two people in this world. Those that have garlic breath… and those that don’t!
