I must say I was really surprised and impressed! I would never have thought to go to Friday’s for lunch. I’ve frequented the bar for much of my twenties, enjoying many bevies and wild nights but I’ve never considered popping by to eat.
Jacinda and I were on the hunt for somewhere on Eagle street that would be quick and fresh… and we could enjoy a wine. We walked past Friday’s and decided to give it a whirl. We both tried the special, the Huon salmon poke bowl for $15 with brown rice.
They were generous in their servings, beautiful and fresh salmon with plenty of cucumber, carrot, radishes, shallots, edamame, avocado and pickled ginger.
We enjoyed a dry rosè with the poke bowl looking out towards the Story Bridge.
The view is great, the menu suits the venue and price point for office workers wanting to nip out for a quick lunch and the food was lovely.
