Ryo’s Noodles | Crows Nest | North Sydney

A friend (and fellow ramen enthusiast) and I were both staying in North Sydney for work recently and decided it would be a good idea to go in hunt of some great ramen.

Just a 5 minute Uber from our hotels was Ryo’s Noodles. If you google them, you’ll find them on just about every ‘best ramen in Sydney’ list you can find online! With some cred like that behind them, we decided to check them out.

We had to rush to get there as the last call for food was only about 15mins away. Luckily there was one table open for us so we jumped in and ordered as soon as we could. Both of us were going to order the spicy Ton Konsu ramen until we found out the special was the spicy Ton Konsu ramen mixed with the Soy flavored dish. We both changed to the special and ordered extra veg, extra bamboo, and Gyoza.

The ramen itself was delicious! Just as you’d imagine. The noodles were perfectly done, right on al dente. The broth was on point. I love extra bamboo so that went down a treat!

The Gyoza were also delicious. Small little parcels of goodness. Definitely recommend adding them to your order.

You’d be forgiven for thinking you’d stepped into a ramen restaurant in Japan when you enter Ryo’s Noodles. The interior is yellow and covered in Japanese writing with simple furniture. The team wears a Japanese-inspired outfit. I can’t remember if there was music.

I’ve been told that oftentimes you’ll find a huge line winding down the road as people wait to get in.

Definitely recommend visiting Ryo’s Noodles in Crows Nest!
