Terrific Noodles | Sunnybank | Brisbane

It’s been a hot minute since I visited Sunnybank Market Square in Brisbane for a bite! I even managed to forget about how crazy the parking is.

Terrific Noodles has been on my list for a while, thanks to its popularity on Instagram. Slightly hungover, I decided this was a great day to indulge in some comforting Xi’an noodles to make me feel a bit better!

I lined up (yes, there likely will be a smallish line), and ordered the 5-in-1 Biang Biang noodles, the 2-in-1 Terrific Rougamo (Chinese Burger) which was a pastry stuffed with spicy potato and spicy cumin beef, and I also ordered some kind of Chinese herbal canned beverage.

The wait wasn’t too long, and I was easily able to get a seat. It was a little bit of a struggle to find, I recommend using Google Maps. The ‘burger’ came out first and it was as it promised, spicy. The pastry was light and crispy on the outside and a denser pastry inside (as it should be), the potato and beef were spicy, and the cumin flavour was strong. It was delicious, and I’d be keen to try the other flavours another time.

Then for the main event, the hand-pulled noodles with shredded pork, pork mince, tomato, egg, and chopped veggies. Delicious. The noodles were of great density, the flavour spicy but not overpowering, and the right amount of sauce.

Check out the combos if you want to try a variety, I ordered #30 which meant my drink was essentially free.

Hot tip: Order a takeaway container when you order – you’ll need it! The servings are generous sizes, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll want to try a variety of dishes which you couldn’t possibly consume in one meal!

If you’re in Brisbane and looking to try some Biang Biang noodles, go for a drive to Sunnybank, try Terrific Noodles, and let me know what you think!
