Elementi Restaurant | Brisbane

Elementi

Elementi Restaurant is a local institution that delivers quality Italian cuisine in a cozy and moody setting. With a pizza fire roaring behind the counter and a menu packed with fresh, simple, and well-executed dishes, Elementi is a great spot for Italian dining in Brisbane.

Location: Elementi is located in Paddington, Brisbane, offering a neighborhood charm that complements its authentic Italian vibe. Perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out, the restaurant’s warm, intimate ambiance makes it a must-visit.

What We Ordered:

  • Allo scoglio: Wheat tagliatelle with mussels, clams, octopus, prawns, cherry tomatoes, white wine, and parsley.
  • Risotto asparagi e gamberetti: Risotto with asparagus, prawns, and lemon zest.
  • Bufalina pizza: Tomato sugo, buffalo mozzarella, basil, extra virgin olive oil.

The Details: The Allo Scoglio was my favorite dish of the night. The wheat tagliatelle had a gorgeous, perfectly al dente texture, and the seafood was generous and fresh. Every bite was infused with the flavors of cherry tomatoes, white wine, and parsley – a true standout.

The Risotto Asparagi e Gamberetti was lovely and light, ideal for a warm summer evening, and boy have we been getting a lot of warm nights! The asparagus was cooked beautifully, with a refreshing hint of lemon zest.

The Bufalina Pizza struck the perfect balance – not too soggy or overly crispy, but just right. Its simplicity, with the tomato sugo, buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil, showcased the quality ingredients and the skill of the kitchen team.

I enjoyed a glass of white, minerally wine chosen by the staff. While I can’t recall its name, their recommendation made for a perfect pairing with the seafood dishes.

Vibe Check: Elementi is moody and inviting, with the pizza fire roaring behind the counter, adding warmth and energy to the space. The relaxed atmosphere, coupled with the cozy lighting, makes it an ideal spot for intimate dinners or casual gatherings.

The Service: The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and approachable, offering thoughtful wine recommendations and ensuring the experience was seamless. As we were leaving at closing time (always the last ones to leave!), it was lovely to see the kitchen team settling in to wind down together with beers in hand.

Why I’d Return: Elementi ranks high on my list of Brisbane restaurants for its authentic Italian cuisine, and quality ingredients. The food is worth the trip, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere seals the deal. I actually did go back again this week and they have an amazing carpaccio heirloom tomato dish with stracciatella – highly recommend! Possibly tops my dish list here.

Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Brisbane, Elementi should be on your list. With fresh, simple dishes and a cozy ambiance, this Paddington spot is a staple for me.
